Kyiv Regional Military Administration honored UDS specialists for their contribution to the safety and recovery of the Kyiv region
Deputy Head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration Ruslan Oliinyk presented awards to the specialists of Ukrainian Demining Services (UDS) for their high professionalism and significant contribution to the safety and recovery of Kyiv region.
On September 8, UDS marked the second anniversary of its founding. During this time, the company has become the largest Ukrainian operator in the field of demining and is among the top three leaders by the volume of cleared land in Ukraine. The team currently numbers 207 specialists, including 161 deminers, with one-third being veterans of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
The company’s achievements are impressive: thousands of hectares of land cleared and surveyed, full certification across all areas of mine action — from mechanized demining to work in water areas. In Kyiv region alone, UDS has conducted non-technical survey of over 2,567 hectares, carried out humanitarian demining on nearly 772 hectares, and surveyed forest areas of the region.
In cooperation with the charitable organization “Back to Life”, this year UDS also completed non-technical survey of more than 5,000 hectares of agricultural land in Kyiv region.
“Thanks to UDS’s humanitarian mission, farmers can once again work their fields, communities are restoring normal life, and the region’s economy is receiving a new boost for development. Every demined hectare means a new harvest, a school, or a home,” emphasized Ruslan Oliinyk.
