In Mykolaiv Oblast, the clearance of 148 ha belonging to the Valentyna farming enterprise has been completed

Ukrainian Demining Services (UDS) have finished humanitarian demining of 148.186 hectares owned by the Valentyna farming enterprise near the village of Blahodatne, Pervomaisk community, Mykolaiv Oblast. The work was carried out from April to May 2025 under the supervision of Denys Yerkhov.

Two remotely controlled Bozena 5+ machines and five EOD teams from the “South” Humanitarian Demining Department were deployed. In total, six humanitarian demining teams, two mechanised teams and two medical support paramedics were involved. Both mechanical and manual clearance methods were used, along with battle-area clearance.

During technical survey, the teams removed six 120 mm mortar rounds, three 80 mm mortar rounds, two 122 mm artillery shells, one PG-22 round and two PG-7 rounds.

They also destroyed unexploded MLRS rockets, TM-62M/TM-62P anti-tank mines, PMN-2, POM-2 and OZM-72 anti-personnel mines, 9N210 cluster sub-munitions and other explosive hazards discovered on site.

After completion, the Mine Action Centre conducted an inspection and issued a certificate transferring responsibility for the cleared land back to the state. This allows the Valentyna farm to safely resume agricultural operations.
