Germina equipped with a new attachment: a universal manipulator

The new attachment features a maximum boom reach of over 6 meters and a lifting capacity of up to 800 kg.

Thanks to universal adaptive mountings, the manipulator connects to the machine without any modifications or alterations. Two basic types of interchangeable attachments are provided for specific field tasks: a bucket and a grapple.

"With the bucket, we can excavate soil to a depth of several meters and carry out various earthworks. Meanwhile, the grapple attachment will be extremely useful for extracting Grad, Smerch, and Uragan rocket artillery projectiles, as well as other similar ordnance carriers, from the ground. Our deminers encounter such rockets constantly. They are deeply embedded in the soil and literally stick out everywhere active hostilities took place. Excavating such remnants is an extremely complex, dangerous, and labor-intensive process. Now, this new development will allow us to speed it up dozens of times," noted Oleksii Voitsekhovskyi, Machine and Mechanism Operational Testing Specialist at UDS.

As a result, the Germina URCM-3000 demining machine now features eight attachments: a flail, a tiller, two types of buckets for soil transportation, a dozer blade for winter operations, site clearing and grading, two types of forklift attachments, and the universal manipulator.

This is the most relevant set of interchangeable equipment adapted to Ukrainian conditions, developed by KZVV engineers in close cooperation with UDS deminers.
