Finnish Company Sensinite to Provide UDS with Radiation Detectors for Field Trials

The management of UDS held a working meeting with representatives of the Finnish company Sensinite, a developer of advanced radiation detection systems for defence, security, and operations in hazardous environments. Representing UDS at the meeting was Serhii Nerpii, Head of the International Cooperation Department.

During the meeting, Sensinite presented its wearable radiation detection technology—compact, miniature devices designed to be integrated directly into personal protective equipment (PPE), including CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) protective suits. The devices provide highly sensitive gamma radiation detection, real-time alerts, NFC-enabled dosimetry functionality, and an IP68 protection rating, making them suitable for demanding field conditions.

"Cooperation with Sensinite gives UDS access to cutting-edge radiation detection technologies, which are an essential element of ensuring the safety of our deminers operating in contaminated areas. This is particularly important in light of our plans to work in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, where continuous radiation monitoring is critical. We have already reached a preliminary agreement to conduct field trials of this equipment in various regions of Ukraine," said Serhii Nerpii, Head of the International Cooperation Department at UDS.
