Due to Adverse Weather Conditions, UDS Suspended Work at Three Sites in Mykolaiv and Kyiv Regions

Today, the site supervisors at the "Kedr," "AGAT AGRO M," and "Savanna" sites suspended demining operations.

Due to challenging weather conditions, circumstances have arisen that prevent work from being carried out in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), specifically:

  1. Difficult access for specialized vehicles to the sites due to icy conditions and snow, making it impossible to ensure rapid evacuation in case of an emergency;
  2. Soil freeze of more than 20 cm, complicating safe excavation of signals;
  3. A large snow layer preventing visual inspection and making it difficult to use the metal detector effectively.

The management of UDS has issued an order to suspend the work and informed the clients.

💬 "The safety of our deminers is our top priority," says UDS Technical Director Eduard Drach. "Our team is capable of working in challenging weather conditions, demonstrating resilience, professionalism, and endurance, but under any conditions, adherence to SOPs is non-negotiable. That is why we have suspended operations at several sites."

At the same time, UDS continues work at sites where weather conditions allow adherence to SOPs: the Potato Institute, where demining is taking place on 434.6 hectares, and 78 hectares of land owned by individual entrepreneur Kryvosheya O.V.
