Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine Ihor Bezkaravainy took part in demonstration with the progress of humanitarian demining by robotic systems in the village of Kiselyvka

4 humanitarian demining groups of the UDS are currently carrying out work on clearing agricultural lands near the village of Kiselyvka from remnants of war. UDS technical director Eduard Drach introduced representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine to demining processes.

Ihor Bezkaravain, who coordinates the direction of humanitarian demining at the Ministry of Economy, was presented with the process of demining using mechanisms, in particular the remote demining machine Bozena, and the process of manual clearing of the area of ​​hostilities.

Also, the representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and the management of UDS discussed current and problematic issues in the field of humanitarian demining. In particular, it was about the formation of the market for demining services.

The Deputy Minister of Economy emphasized that the Ministry is open to a constructive dialogue with all PMD operators and emphasized the need to use Ukrainian-made equipment in mine countermeasures.

UDS technical director Eduard Drach informed the representatives of the ministry that currently UDS has surveyed 2 thousand hectares of land at its own expense and demined 40 hectares with robotic machines.

As a result, representatives of the Ministry of Economy and UDS agreed on further steps of cooperation.
