Completion of Demining of “Romashka” Farm Lands

In the Kharkiv Region, Chuhuiv District, within the Chkalivka Territorial Community, the humanitarian demining of agricultural lands belonging to the “Romashka” Farm in the village of Yurchenkove has been completed.

The total cleared area amounts to 17.6 hectares. The work was carried out under the order of the Humanitarian Demining Center.

A comprehensive set of methods was used during the operation, including:

🔹 Technical survey

🔹 EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) operations

🔹 Mechanized demining using the Bozena 5+ machine and the “Zmiy” Ground Robotic Clearance System developed by Rovertech LLC.

The demining operations involved:

  1. Sappers from the “East” Department of Humanitarian Demining – 5 specialists and 1 paramedic;
  2. The Department of Mechanized Demining team – 14 sappers.

💬 “The site has successfully passed internal quality control. We are now awaiting external quality assurance to confirm the safety of the land. The work was quite challenging due to difficult terrain. Our sappers had to construct a temporary access road approximately one kilometer long to reach the field. Previously, incidents of explosions involving agricultural and military vehicles had been recorded in this area, raising suspicions about the presence of TM-62P3 anti-tank mines. Despite these challenging conditions, all tasks were completed safely and to a high standard,” said Ihor Ovcharuk, Head of the “East” Department of Humanitarian Demining.
