Clearing operations have commenced at the RYTM farm

The site is located near the town of Snihurivka, Bashtanka District, Mykolaiv Region. The total area of the site is 28.3 hectares.

The works are carried out at the request of the Center for Humanitarian Demining in accordance with the approved operational plan.

🔹 Methods of operations: technical survey and clearance of the area of hostilities.

A remotely operated demining machine Bozena 5+ is currently deployed at the site. A total of 9 demining specialists are involved in the operations. The operations manager is Yehor Voloshyn.

⚠️ Identified and potential threats: The presence of artillery shells, anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), munitions from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and 82 mm mortar rounds has been recorded at the site. The presence of enemy positions has also been confirmed, indicating that active hostilities took place in this area.

📌 Background on the area and the site: Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in 2022, the town of Snihurivka and surrounding territories have been located in an active combat zone and remained under Russian occupation for an extended period. Defensive lines, artillery positions, and trenches were established directly on agricultural land and near public roads.

As a result, the lands of the RYTM farm have been significantly contaminated with explosive remnants of war and require humanitarian demining.
