Clearing 251 hectares of farmland in Mykolaiv region from mines

UDS sappers are conducting demining operations at the "Savanna" farm in Snigurivka.

During the survey, numerous craters were found, indicating intense fighting. The farm was located near the frontline, and after the liberation of the settlement, there were cases of livestock being blown up. There is a high probability of mines in nearby forests and territories. Potential threats include anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, mortar mines, artillery shells of various calibers, multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) rockets, cluster munitions, and OZM-72 and POM-2 mines.

The team, led by Yegor Voloshin, includes 33 sappers and 3 medics. They are using modern equipment, including the Bozena 5+ demining machine, and employing manual demining, mechanical demining, and metal detection techniques.

The demining operations are scheduled to be completed by March 4, 2025.
