Clearance begins at a new site in Dnipropetrovsk Region

UDS deminers have begun clearing 180.7 hectares of land belonging to Agro KMR LLC in the village of Krasne, Synelnykove District, Dnipropetrovsk Region.

The client is the Humanitarian Demining Center.

The clearance method involves Technical Survey (TS) using demining machines and equipment, as well as Battle Area Clearance (BAC).

The project is led by Yurii Bohdan, with more than 30 deminers involved in the operations.

“Bozena 5+ and Germina mechanical demining machines are currently operating at the site. Soil preparation is underway ahead of the subsequent demining operations,” said Yurii Bohdan, Head of the project.

The identified threats include Category I abandoned explosive ordnance. During a visual inspection of the site's perimeter, artillery shells, an impact point presumably caused by an artillery shell, fragments, debris, and craters containing fragments from 155/152 mm artillery shells were identified.
