Building the sector together: UDS at the General Meeting of UNAHMD

Today, the General Meeting of the Ukrainian National Association for Humanitarian Demining (UNAHMD) took place. UDS was represented by the Director of Economics, Oleksandr Romaniuk.

The agenda included approval of the updated version of the Association’s Charter, as well as the election of members to the Strategic Council, the Audit Commission, and the Board.

Oleksii Botnarenko was elected as the Head of the Association.

“The meeting was held in a constructive atmosphere, with open discussions and democratic decision-making,” commented UDS Director of Economics Oleksandr Romaniuk.

UDS congratulate Oleksii on his appointment. We wish him continued energy and significant achievements in advancing the humanitarian demining sector in Ukraine. We are confident that the experience of the newly elected Head of the Association will contribute to strengthening the professional community and promoting high operational standards.

“The Association has actively contributed to the development of the humanitarian demining services market in Ukraine since its establishment and will continue, together with the professional community, to consistently develop this market and strengthen its role in Ukraine’s recovery,” emphasized Oleksii Botnarenko.

We would like to remind that in 2024, UDS joined the Ukrainian National Association for Humanitarian Demining (UNAHMD). The Association is a non-governmental organization that unites companies operating in the field of mine action.

The key mission of UNAHMD is to promote the rapid and high-quality clearance of Ukraine’s territories from explosive ordnance — a mission fully aligned with the vision and goals of UDS.
