Attention, farmers! The state-funded Humanitarian Demining Program has been launched!
“Starting today, farmers can submit applications for compensation of agricultural land demining costs,” the Center for Humanitarian Demining reports.
Compensation coverage:
— 100% of demining costs for agricultural land — 80% compensation for land cleared between February 24, 2022 and April 15, 2024 — UAH 2 billion has been allocated in the state budget for the program
🧑🌾 Who can participate?
Farmers, state-owned agricultural enterprises (100% state-owned), and individual farmers whose land is contaminated with explosive ordnance.
📋 What’s new in 2026?
There is no longer a need to open escrow accounts in banks — this procedure is now handled by the Center for Humanitarian Demining. Farmers only need to submit an application through the State Agrarian Register (SAR) and meet the program requirements.
‼️ UDS remind that participation in the compensation program is only possible after conducting a Non-Technical Survey (NTS) of the land plot. This is the first and mandatory step a farmer must complete before applying through SAR.
How to get a free NTS?
Apply through the “Return to the Field” project — a joint initiative of Feodal and the Ukrainian National Association for Humanitarian Demining (UNAHMD).
The project provides free NTS conducted by accredited mine action operators. If contamination is confirmed, the farmer becomes eligible to apply for state compensation through SAR.
