Another rotation completed at UDS

Deminers from the UDS Humanitarian Demining Departments “Center,” “East,” and “South” have completed another rotation, which lasted 30 consecutive days without days off. Nearly 200 demining specialists worked in challenging weather conditions, carrying out tasks to clear territories of explosive hazards.

During this period, the following areas were cleared/demined:

▪️ 244 hectares of agricultural land in the Snihurivska Territorial Community, Mykolaiv Region — commissioned by the Charitable Organization GRACE (Gracengo)

▪️ 71 hectares in the Buchanska Territorial Community, Kyiv Region, near the village of Shybene — commissioned by the Humanitarian Demining Center

In total, UDS deminers conducted more than 10,000 excavations during operations.

Mechanized demining assets were deployed, including:

▪️ 5 Bozena 5+ machines

▪️ 1 Bozena 4+ machine

▪️ 2 Germina machines

▪️ 2 “Zmii” ground robotic clearance systems

During operations, explosive ordnance was detected and destroyed, including hand grenades, anti-tank guided missiles (ATGMs), anti-vehicle mines, and anti-personnel mines.

Internal quality control has already been completed on the cleared areas. The external quality assurance phase is now beginning in accordance with established mine action procedures.

Following the completion of the rotation, deminers from the UDS Humanitarian Demining Departments “Center,” “East,” and “South” were able to rest and recover. At the same time, the UDS Mechanized Demining Department continues operations without interruption through internal rotations.

UDS is capable of operating year-round in all weather conditions, ensuring a continuous demining process.

We are returning war-contaminated land to life.
