Anna Anisimova: A quarter of the UDS team are women

"Some of our girls work as a drone operator, some operate the Bozen robotic demining machine, and some work in the survey of war-contaminated areas. All of them have undergone thorough professional training, work with modern equipment and have high-quality equipment and receive decent wages, just like the men of our team."

This was announced by the head of the UDS sapper group, Anna Anisimova, on the national air of Suspilne News.

Before the war, Anna worked as a graphic designer. The impetus for being a sapper for the girl was the desire to help her country, her community and clean up the war-contaminated land on which she grew up.

Anna also shared her experience at UDS:

"I don't know a single girl who would return from the field of humanitarian demining to her previous job, because this work is interesting and promising. You always see the result of your work, the result of the team's work. Here, in humanitarian demining, very diverse people work, but everyone, absolutely everyone, treats the activities accordingly and professionally. Ukraine's recovery begins with demining. Our mission: to bring war-torn lands back to life!"
