Agrarians are fully compensated for the cost of land demining
Finally the demining market will start working!
From now on, compensation to farmers for demining agricultural land will be 100%
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine increased the amount of compensation for farmers who plan to demine agricultural land from 80% to 100%.
💬 "These are long-awaited changes. We are glad that the Government heard the market participants. I am convinced that this will give an impetus and activate the work on humanitarian demining of agricultural lands. After all, due to the fact that an incompletely developed mechanism was launched earlier, the market was in a state of stagnation for almost 8 months, so there is very little time left for demining this year. However, the main thing is that the authorities listened to farmers and operators of anti-mine activities and from now on the situation is regulated. This is the result of the joint work of the Government, farmers and PMD operators. Well, of course, this decision is also about the development of the PMD market and, as a result, the support of our country's economy," stressed Oleksandr Romanyuk, Director of Economics of the National Mine Action Operator Ukrainian demining services.
It is also important that thanks to the relevant changes to Resolution No. 284, farmers who have a tax debt for the payment of land or a debt for the payment of a single tax will be able to participate in the compensation program, if they are taxpayers of Group IV EP.
Verification of applications submitted by farmers through the State Agrarian Register (https://www.dar.gov.ua/) is carried out by the Center for Humanitarian Demining.
After the changes to the resolution come into force, the Center for Humanitarian Demining will as soon as possible announce the first tenders for the purchase of humanitarian demining services in the Prozorro system for those farmers who have applied and meet the conditions of the program.
❗️ Important:
✅ Farmers whose lands are located in the de-occupied territories, and where, after conducting a non-technical survey, contamination or probable contamination with explosive objects can participate in the compensation program.
✅ The identified areas must be located outside the 20-kilometer zone from the line of combat or the state border.
The mine action operator will receive the entire reserved amount after completion of demining and confirmation of completed works by the Center for Humanitarian Demining.
