A new rotation has begun at UDS

A new rotation has begun at UDS

For the next 23 working days, sappers from four units— the East, South, Center regional departments and the Special Demining Operations Department—will work continuously without days off, clearing Ukrainian land of explosive hazards.

In other words, for 4 out of UDS’s 5 departments, a new scheduled operational cycle of deploying sappers for clearance has started. Only after the full rotation is completed do we proceed with rotation or reallocation of forces.

Meanwhile, the Mechanized Demining Department operates year-round on a rotational basis. This means our demining machines do not stand idle for a single day, and personnel days off are ensured through internal rotation.

As a reminder, UDS comprises five humanitarian demining departments:

  1. Humanitarian Demining Department “Center”
  2. Humanitarian Demining Department “South”
  3. Humanitarian Demining Department “East”
  4. Mechanized Demining Department
  5. Special Demining Operations Department

We are bringing war-contaminated land back to life!
