61 сertificates and 10 guarantee letters: UDS hand over cleared Land to Landex Agro LLC

In Izium district, Kharkiv region, the clearance of agricultural land commissioned by the Humanitarian Demining Center has been completed. The management of Landex Agro LLC received 61 certificates confirming the transfer of responsibility for the cleared plots to the state, as well as 10 guarantee letters on land release issued by the Mine Action Center.

The work covered 876 hectares, 198 cadastral parcels, and 70 plots.

A total of 105 demining specialists and 11 mechanized demining machines were involved in the operation: 4 Bozena 5+ machines, 4 Germina machines, and 3 “Zmiy” robotic systems.

“This is our largest project. It was a challenging site where we recovered a large amount of explosive remnants of war, tons of ammunition and metal debris. We even found shells dating back to the Second World War — evidence that farmers had been working in dangerous conditions for years even before the full-scale invasion. Now this danger has been completely eliminated by our team. We are closing the entire site and handing over 61 certificates confirming the transfer of responsibility for the cleared land to the state, along with 10 guarantee letters for the surveyed plots, where we guarantee complete safety,” said the UDS Chief Executive Officer.

Throughout the operation, more than 90 explosive ordnance items were discovered and handed over for disposal, including artillery and Uragan multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) rockets, mortar and anti-tank mines, grenades, aerial bombs, PTM-1 submunitions, as well as shells dating back to the Second World War. In addition, significant quantities of metal fragments and other hazardous remnants of war were removed from the fields.

All cleared plots successfully passed external quality control conducted by an authorized inspection body. This independently confirms full compliance with national mine action standards, ensures the quality of the work performed, and allows the hazardous-area status to be officially lifted, enabling agricultural activities to resume safely.
