10 UDS sappers completed their training in Slovakia

On February 2, 2024, 10 specialists were sent to Slovakia for a two-week training on the management of BOZENA remote demining systems.

So, within two weeks, our sappers went through two stages of training: they learned how to operate the machine and carry out mechanical demining, acquired skills in inspecting and maintaining systems, etc.

Really, interested was by working on standards on technical machines.

The team also learned about novelties and best and improved methods of humanitarian demining.

As a result of the training, they all passed the test and received an operator's certificate for the right to drive BOZENA machines.

UDS needs to master the skills of working with the BOZENA system because in the spring we will receive 7 new BOZENA demining systems for humanitarian mine action from the Slovak manufacturer. The first of them will be sent for humanitarian demining by UDS sappers in Mykolaiv oblast. Reference.

The Slovak BOZENA system is a remote vehicle designed to demine the territory from anti-tank and anti-personnel mines with an explosive resistance of up to 9 kg of TNT. The system has a main body, an on-board unit, operator's cabs, and a transport platform trailer. The machine is also equipped with a rotating device with a chain.
