Manual Demining

The UDS has established clear procedures for manual demining of areas where anti-personnel mines, anti-tank mines, improvised explosive devices and tripwire munitions may have been used.
UDS has the right to carry out manual demining of 8 demining groups, which are equipped with mine detectors, individual sapper kits and other necessary equipment.

UDS sappers have high-quality equipment and appropriate skills for manual demining.

The main components of manual demining include:
● Maintaining the constant readiness of our employees and equipment for demining operations;
● Search, detection and disposal of mines, tripwires and other explosive remnants of war with the help of metal detectors and special equipment and their transfer to authorized bodies for further destruction
● Conducting internal quality control of manual demining works performed
● Creating safe conditions for the use of the area after it has been cleared;
● Implementation of measures for labor protection and medical support;
● Accounting and reporting on the results of manual demining work;
● External quality control by authorized bodies;
● Transfer of land to final beneficiaries.

Manual demining operations can be conducted independently or in conjunction with other demining methods. For each demining project, we meticulously formulate detailed plans and strategies, ensuring the highest level of safety and efficiency.
